Duty Free

T1

Gate area in T1 has one main Duty Free stop

This Duty Free Shop sits in Terminal 1’s departures area, after security, on the way to the international gates. It’s the standard last-chance stop for liquor, perfume and boxed chocolates before flights to the US and beyond from BJX. You won’t find luxury-brand density like Mexico City, but the basics are here, and it’s close enough to most gates that you can duck in and be back at your seat in under 10 minutes.

Alcohol prices usually beat downtown by a bit, especially on 750 ml tequila and mezcal bottles, and the shop often runs 2-for deals on mid-range brands. Cigarettes and spirits are the main draw; expect fewer options on cosmetics and skincare than bigger hubs. If you care about agave, scan labels and look for 100% agave tequila rather than mixto – you’ll see both on these shelves.

Snacks lean heavily Mexican: branded candies, spicy chips, and gift-ready sweets in the 150–300 MXN range. You can also grab small souvenir items like keychains and mugs if you skipped the city shops. Payment in pesos, US dollars, and major cards is standard here, but change usually comes back in MXN, even if you pay in USD.

Cashiers can get a line when two international departures overlap in the evening wave, typically around 18:00–21:00. Factor in 5–10 extra minutes if your flight boards during that window. One practical move: take a quick lap first, decide on your bottle or gift, then head straight to the register so you’re not comparing prices while your row is boarding.
