One lounge, many names: “Lounge 3” is the same VIP room

In BJX Terminal T1, anything sold as “Lounge 3” on apps or OTAs still drops you into the single VIP Lounge Bajío footprint, open daily from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

The lounge sits airside in Terminal 1, after security, so you need to clear screening first before heading over; budget at least 15–20 minutes from check-in counters to the lounge door at busy morning banks.

Access works with Priority Pass and Chase Sapphire-linked lounge programs, or you can walk up and buy a day pass at about $25 USD per person if you’re not covered by a card.

Multiple card networks and booking sites list BJX as having “Lounge 2” and “Lounge 3,” but Amex, Mastercard, and Priority Pass all point to the same VIP Lounge Bajío entry, which is why people sometimes arrive looking for a second room that simply does not exist.

Because it’s just this one space, seats can fill up around the midday departure bank between about 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM, and some guests report having to circle a few minutes before finding a chair.

The day pass price of roughly $25 makes it a reasonable call if you want a quieter seat than the public T1 gate area, but with only one shared lounge in the terminal, don’t expect a dedicated “Lounge 3” section or special upgrades.

Watch out for

• Apps and OTAs listing separate “Lounge 2” and “Lounge 3” products in T1 even though both lead to the same single VIP Lounge Bajío room.
• Potential disappointment if you planned a lounge hop; everything funnels back to this one space during the 8 AM – 8 PM operating window.

One practical tip

If you booked “Lounge 3” through an online agency, arrive at T1, follow signs only to VIP Lounge Bajío, and treat the name on your voucher as a product label, not a separate location, so you don’t waste time hunting for a non-existent second lounge.
