Old Bazaar

Gate-side souvenir stop near International departures

Old Bazaar sits airside in the International terminal at Milas Bodrum Airport, close enough to the gates that you can shop with 20–30 minutes before boarding. It leans into local-style goods: Turkish delight boxes, evil-eye charms, textiles, and small ceramics that actually fit in a cabin bag. Shelves are dense, so you can scan most of the shop in under 5 minutes if you’re on a tight connection.

Prices run higher than Bodrum town markets, but still below many European hub airports; expect to pay a few euros more for a box of lokum than in the city. Staff handle both euro and Turkish lira, and card terminals usually default to EUR, so check the screen before you tap. If you skipped shopping in Bodrum proper, this is the last realistic place in BJV to grab something that looks vaguely handmade rather than pure duty-free logo merch.

Stock skews giftable: pre-packed sweets in 250–500 g sizes, small glass nazar charms on keyrings, and cotton items that claim Bodrum on the label. Nothing here feels essential for basics; think souvenirs, not travel gear. Quality ranges from decent to touristy, so take the extra 2–3 minutes to compare stitching on textiles and check expiry dates on sweets, especially late in the season.

Plan your visit just after security in International, before you head down to your specific gate cluster, so you’re not backtracking through the terminal with boarding already started.
