Taxi Waiting Area

Staging zone

Metered taxis queue here before picking up at BJV

The Taxi Waiting Area at Milas Bodrum Airport (BJV) sits in the landside forecourt, ahead of the terminal entrances for both Domestic and International sections. It functions as a staging zone, not passenger parking, so drivers line up here until they’re called to the official pickup lanes. If you’re arriving by taxi for a flight, this is usually where your driver pauses before moving toward the curb in front of the terminal doors.

This area supports the constant taxi flow to flights serving seasonal peaks, with aircraft movements stretching from early morning departures around 06:00 through late-night arrivals after 23:00. That means taxis tend to be on standby in this zone during the same window. In shoulder hours you may see shorter queues of cars; at peak summer times the line can easily run to dozens of vehicles, all feeding the same Domestic and International curbs.

As a staging zone, the Taxi Waiting Area is intended for licensed drivers, not travelers looking for all-day parking. Stays often last 10–30 minutes while drivers wait for dispatch or a client call from the arrivals exit. If you’re meeting a taxi you pre-booked, the driver may tell you they’re in this waiting area until your plane lands and you clear arrivals on the ground floor.

There are usually no marked long-stay bays or ticket barriers in this zone, unlike the main long-term parking near the terminal access roads at BJV. If you try to leave your own car here while flying out of Milas Bodrum, expect airport staff or security to ask you to move within minutes. For actual trip parking, follow signs to the dedicated car parks signed for Short-Term or Long-Term.

Use the Taxi Waiting Area only as a brief stop point: arrange to meet your taxi at the main arrivals curb and treat this zone as background infrastructure, not somewhere to stash your car while you fly.
