Coach bays

Coach bays sit opposite the main terminal at BJV

The Bus Parking Area at Milas Bodrum International Airport (BJV) serves tour coaches, hotel shuttles, and group transfers using marked coach bays just across from the terminal complex. These bays handle multiple full-size buses at busy departure waves for both the Domestic and International terminals. If you’re moving a group of 20–50 people, this is the area ground handlers and tour reps use as the main meeting point.

Access sits on the terminal access road that links the Domestic and International buildings, so coaches can drop at one terminal, loop, and then stage in the Bus Parking Area without exiting airport grounds. Drivers follow on-airport signage for “Bus / Coach Parking” near the public car parks. Walking time from many bays to the terminal doors usually runs under 5–7 minutes, depending on where the coach parks and which terminal you need.

The coach bays work best for pre-arranged services: tour operators, hotel shuttles, and private group transfers that already have a meeting time and company name shared with passengers. Most operators factor in Bodrum’s summer traffic on the D330 road, often adding 20–30 minutes buffer before scheduled check-in cutoffs. If you’re organizing a charter, confirm with your coach company exactly which terminal door they plan to use for pick-up.

There’s no passenger ticketing or kiosk in the Bus Parking Area itself, just pavement, marked bays, and bus lanes. Toilets, cafés, and check-in counters all sit inside the Domestic and International terminals, typically less than a 10-minute walk from most parked coaches. Plan bathroom and snack stops after you enter the building, not while waiting beside the bays.

Tip: In peak July–August traffic, tell your group to meet at a specific terminal entrance number or airline check-in row, then walk together to the coach, rather than trying to regroup directly in the Bus Parking Area.
