10 minutes from Bilbao Airport, Parkaereo cuts parking costs hard
Parkaereo Bilbao sits off-site about a 10-minute drive from BIO’s T1 and targets low-cost long-stay parking. You leave the car at their lot rather than inside the airport grounds, then transfer by shuttle to the terminal. It suits trips measured in days rather than quick drop-offs or one-hour waits.
This is a budget operation, so prices usually undercut the official Bilbao Airport car parks by a noticeable margin, especially on stays over 3–4 days. You book a space for specific dates instead of pulling a ticket at entry. Prebooking online typically locks the better rate; last-minute drive-up space is not always guaranteed in peak summer months.
Parkaereo runs as an off-airport service, so you factor in both parking and the shuttle time to T1. Build in at least 20–25 extra minutes on top of your normal airport arrival target to cover drop-off, paperwork, and the ride to departures. For late-night or very early morning flights from BIO, double-check shuttle operating hours when you book.
The lot sits outside the official terminal area, so you do not walk to check-in desks 1–4 like you would from the on-site garages. Instead, staff handle the transfer in a dedicated vehicle sized for luggage. Families, ski bags, surfboards, and oversized suitcases all go in the shuttle rather than being pushed across the forecourt.
One practical tip: print or save the Parkaereo Bilbao booking confirmation with the address and phone number before you set off, and drop a pin in your maps app. That makes both the initial drive to the lot and the pickup call on return to T1 much smoother.
