Express Parking

Official short-stay

50 meters from T1, this is Bilbao’s true drop-and-go lot

Express Parking sits directly opposite the T1 terminal entrance, about a 1–2 minute walk from the check-in desks. It’s the official short-stay option at Bilbao Airport (BIO), so you park on-site and stay within the airport perimeter the whole time.

Opening hours match terminal operations, effectively 24/7, which helps for the 06:00 departures and late-night arrivals that Bilbao sees on routes to Madrid and Barcelona. No shuttle needed here; you roll your bag straight from the car to the terminal doors.

This lot works best for stays under 24 hours, and especially under 6–8 hours, where the time saved offsets the higher short-stay pricing compared with long-stay options further from T1. Check current tariffs, but expect a clear per-minute or per-hour structure on arrival.

Spaces are uncovered, on surface level, and laid out in standard car bays, so larger vehicles fit as long as they meet the usual airport length and height rules. Because it’s the closest parking to T1, it often fills around weekday morning peaks, particularly before 08:00.

Payment runs through the official airport system, with pay stations in the terminal and near the pedestrian exit from the car park. Keep your ticket dry and handy; losing it usually means paying the maximum daily charge under AENA’s standard policy.

Tip: Aim to arrive 15–20 minutes before check-in opens for your flight; that’s enough to park in Express, walk the 50 meters into T1, and clear security without rushing.
