P1

Official general parking

2-minute walk from T1, P1 is Bilbao’s main car park

P1 sits directly in front of Terminal T1 at Bilbao Airport, about a 2–3 minute covered walk from the check-in desks. It’s the official general parking area, so you park once and walk straight into departures without waiting for a shuttle. This is the closest long-stay option to the terminal doors.

The car park is open 24/7 and works with standard airport barriers and ticket machines. You take a ticket on entry, pay at a pay station or exit gate, and then drive out. Spaces are numbered and marked, and it’s a multi-level structure, so note your floor and zone as soon as you park to avoid hunting for your car after a late arrival.

Pricing at P1 is hourly for short stops and capped for daily stays, with the airport publishing current rates in euros on its official site. It’s usually fine for anything from a quick pickup of under 1 hour to trips of 3–5 days. For long holidays of 1–2 weeks, check the per-day cost in advance; off-airport lots around Bilbao can sometimes beat P1 on price for very long stays.

P1 is inside the airport perimeter, behind the main access road, so you keep control of your keys and walk your own bags to T1. Height limits apply because it’s a multi-storey car park, so double-check if you’re driving a van or a car with a roof box. Blue-badge and family spaces sit on the lower levels, closer to the pedestrian exits toward the terminal.

One tip: take a quick photo of the pillar number and floor when you park in P1 at Bilbao, and another of the pedestrian exit you use toward T1. Those two photos save a lot of wandering when you land back on a rainy evening.
