Short-stay parking

30 meters from T1, P1 is Bergamo’s short-stay lot

P1 sits directly in front of Terminal T1 at Bergamo (BGY), marked as the official short-stay car park on the airport map. It’s a surface lot, not a garage, so you park your own car and walk straight to departures in about 1–2 minutes. This is the closest official parking to the terminal doors, aimed at quick drop-offs, pick-ups, and very short trips.

Pricing at P1 is structured for hours, not weeks, with the first few hours usually costing less than a full day in the long‑stay car parks like P2 or P3. Because P1 is airport-operated, you pull a ticket at the barrier, then pay at the on-site machines or exit gate using cards. For anything more than a day or two, the airport’s own parking page flags P1 as a premium option compared to the longer-stay lots.

P1 is inside the main airport road loop for BGY T1, so you avoid shuttle buses completely and just walk across to check-in. Signage for “P1 Breve Sosta” starts before you reach the terminal drop-off zone. If you’re picking someone up and know their flight number, you can time your arrival to park for under an hour here and still be closer than the generic “Kiss & Fly” lanes.

Watch your times at P1, because the hourly short‑stay rate adds up quickly compared with P2 or P3 after roughly a day of parking. The lot can also fill during early-morning Ryanair bank waves, so have a backup like P2 marked in your GPS. One practical tip: grab a photo of your row and a landmark sign as you lock the car, so you can walk straight back to it after landing and be on the road in minutes.
