Flybussen Bergen Airport

Airport bus

Airport bus ≈25–30 min airport–Bergen bus station/city centre[1][3] ≈149 NOK one‑way bought online; more (≈+30 NOK) if bought on board[1][3]

25–30 minutes from T to Bergen bus station with Flybussen

Flybussen Bergen Airport (route FB50) runs from Terminal T to Bergen bus station in about 25–30 minutes, versus roughly 40 minutes on Bybanen for the same trip. Coaches have luggage space under the bus, so rolling two big suitcases on is painless compared with squeezing onto the tram.

Daytime departures run roughly every 15–20 minutes, with the last bus reported around midnight, so it covers most late SAS and Norwegian arrivals. If your train or regional bus leaves soon after you land, those saved 10–15 minutes over Bybanen matter a lot at Bergen bus station.

Online one-way tickets sit around 149 NOK; buying from the driver adds roughly 30 NOK according to VisitBergen info. Book on your phone while waiting for bags and just show the QR code when you board to lock in the lower price.

From the T arrivals hall, follow signs for “Flybussen” and walk a few dozen metres to the dedicated stops outside; you’re not hunting random city stops. Buses are branded “Flybussen” with FB50 on the front, so they’re easy to pick out from local routes.

The main line runs airport–Lagunen–Nesttun–Danmarks plass–Bergen bus station, with stops close to several Thon and Radisson hotels in the centre. FlyerTalk posters mention staying at Thon Bristol specifically because a Flybussen stop sits nearby, trimming the walk with luggage to a few minutes.

Regulars often flip between Bybanen and Flybussen: tram for cheap daytime sightseeing, bus when they have tight connections at Bergen bus station. One frequent visitor timed the airport–station run at about 25 minutes on Flybussen versus roughly 40 on Bybanen and now picks the coach whenever they’re catching a long-distance bus.

Watch out for the price gap: budget-focused travellers on Reddit call Flybussen “significantly more expensive” than Bybanen, especially for families paying four fares. Also note that headways stretch late at night; miss the bus near midnight and you might be looking at a long wait or a taxi that can hit several hundred NOK.

Practical tip: if you’re still hotel-shopping and know you’ll land at BGO, pick a place along the Flybussen route so you can ride the coach straight from Terminal T to within a block or two of your bed.
