Premium Car Park

Short stay

Short walks to T1, priced for quick visits

Premium Car Park sits directly in front of Bahrain International Airport’s Terminal 1, set up for short stays rather than long trips. It’s the closest general parking to departures, so the walk to the T1 check-in area is only a few minutes on level ground. This is the lot you use for drop-offs, 1–2 day trips, or meeting arrivals when you want to stay close to the terminal.

This is a short-stay product, so rates run higher per hour than the long-term car parks further from T1. Pricing is structured by the hour and then by the day, with a clear jump once you cross into full-day territory. If you’re leaving the car for more than 24–48 hours, the Premium Car Park usually stops making financial sense compared with the standard or remote lots.

Being right in front of Terminal 1, Premium Car Park is fully within the main airport perimeter and monitored by airport security and CCTV. Entry and exit use standard ticketed barriers; you take a paper ticket on the way in and pay at the machines before you drive out. Lanes are sized for regular passenger cars and SUVs, not oversized commercial vehicles or buses.

Access uses the same approach roads that feed the T1 departures and arrivals levels, so add at least 10–15 minutes at peak times in the morning and late evening when Gulf bank flights cluster. The car park is uncovered, so in summer heat cars sit in direct sun for several hours at a time. If you’re parking during afternoon highs above 40°C, bring a windshield shade and avoid leaving electronics in the cabin.

One practical tip: do the math before you pull a ticket. If your stop will run past about 6–8 hours, compare the daily rate here with the regular long-stay car parks and consider dropping passengers at T1, then moving the car to a cheaper lot.
