Four EV bays near Bahrain International’s T1 make charging simple
The EV Charging Area sits in the main car park serving Terminal T1, with clearly marked bays reserved for electric vehicles. These are standard surface spaces, not a separate multi-storey section, so you pull in and plug in without needing extra tickets or access cards. Signage in the T1 forecourt points you toward the EV section of the parking area in under a 2–3 minute walk from the terminal doors.
These are designated bays only, not a full valet or park-and-ride setup, so you park your own car, connect to the charger and then walk across to departures. Pricing usually follows the standard T1 car park rates by the hour, with charging itself either bundled or billed separately depending on current airport policy, so plan for at least a couple of hours if you want a meaningful top-up before your return flight.
The chargers sit in an open-air section of the car park, so your car stays in regular short- or medium-stay parking while plugged in. Because this is adjacent to T1, you’re looking at roughly a 3–5 minute walk to the main check-in hall doors, similar to other front-row parking spots at Bahrain International Airport. That makes it workable even if you are managing luggage on your own.
One practical tip: build an extra 15–20 minutes into your arrival time in case all EV bays are taken and you need to circle for a spot or shift to standard parking. If you’re landing back at peak evening bank times, snap a quick photo of your bay number and charger so you can find the car fast on return.
