Airport Bus

Bus

Bus 30-40 min

Two different “airport buses” run from AYT every 30 minutes

Locals and hotels say “airport bus” but usually mean either the municipal bus 600/800 or the Havaş coach. All run from Antalya Airport (T1, T2, T3) toward the city with a typical 30–40 minute ride into town, depending on traffic on D400.

The municipal bus 600 connects the airport with Antalya Otogar (main bus station) and passes near the city center. It runs about every 30 minutes during the day, and the ride to the Otogar usually takes 30–40 minutes from T1. Tickets are cheap, paid with an AntalyaKart or cash to the driver in Turkish lira.

The municipal bus 800 generally handles the Lara / eastern hotel strip side rather than the Otogar. Frequency is also roughly every 30 minutes, with travel times in the 30–40 minute range depending on how many stops are used along the coast road. Some hotel reviews specifically mention staff saying “airport bus” but actually meaning route 600, so always confirm 600 versus 800.

Havaş is the private coach option that people also call “airport bus.” It runs between Antalya Airport and the city (often via Migros AVM / 5M area) with coach-style seating and luggage holds. Journey time runs 30–40 minutes to central stops in normal traffic. Tickets cost more than the 600/800 but are still cheaper than most taxis from T1 or T2.

Post-security, you just follow the exit signs from T1, T2, or T3, then look for either buses clearly marked 600 / 800 or coaches with the Havaş logo. Do not board any unmarked minibus that someone loosely calls the “airport bus.” Forum threads mention people being dropped at the wrong place after trusting that vague label.

Regulars on Turkey travel forums say they always ask for the route number by name: “altı yüz” (600), “sekiz yüz” (800), or “Havaş.” When buying a ticket or asking directions, say one of those three rather than “airport bus.” That habit saves you from the classic mix‑up between the Otogar route 600 and the Lara‑side 800.

Tip: before landing, pick your target stop (Otogar, Lara, Migros/center) and write down “600,” “800,” or “Havaş” on your phone; then match that exact word to the front sign of the bus at the curb.
