Shuttle Lot A runs $3 per hour, capped at $12 per day, same price as AVL’s main Daily lot but with shuttle‑to‑curb rides instead of a walk. It’s economy parking meant for longer trips when you want official airport parking and don’t mind waiting on a van.

This lot sits off Airport Road/HWY 280, across from the WNC Ag Center, with its own entrance separate from the terminal loop for Terminal 1. That’s handy if you’re coming up 280 from the south and already know the closer garages and surface Daily lot are slammed.

AVL lists Shuttle Lots A & B as 24/7 operations with shuttle service to the terminal curb, but they don’t publish exact shuttle frequency or late‑night headways. In practice, treat it like a small‑airport remote lot: expect to wait a few minutes, and add extra time for late‑evening or very early morning flights.

Payment in Shuttle Lot A is credit‑card‑only at the exit. There’s no mention of cash, no online reservations, and no prepay discount. Parking across AVL is first‑come, first‑served, so during peak holidays you can’t lock in a spot ahead of time.

Regulars usually try the Daily lot first, since the rate is identical and you can walk to the terminal without a shuttle. Shuttle Lot A (and B) turn into the fallback when the closer options are pushing capacity or already coned off.

Practical tip: on busy weeks, add at least 20–30 minutes to your usual arrival time in case you’re directed straight to Shuttle Lot A and have to wait for the next van.
