Long Term Parking Lot

Economy

Ola or Uber to AMD usually beats paying for long-term

App cabs from Ahmedabad city to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport typically run a few hundred rupees each way, which is why many locals skip the Long Term Parking Lot entirely. The on-site facility is signed as “Long Term Parking Lot – Economy” and functions as overflow beyond the main forecourt parking near T1 and T2.

The Long Term Parking Lot at AMD is economy parking with daily pricing built off an hourly structure, but the airport doesn’t publish a clear per-day cap online. That lack of transparent daily rates is one reason frequent flyers in Google reviews say they default to Ola or Uber instead of leaving a car at the airport for three or four days.

The lot serves both T1 and T2, with access via the same approach road that feeds the terminal forecourts, and you’ll pay on exit at the staffed booths. Because AMD operates 24/7 with late-night international departures from T2 and a heavy domestic bank through T1, expect cars moving in and out of the lot at all hours, but there’s no strong data pointing to it filling up completely.

Regulars mention arranging family drop-offs or app-based taxis for multi-day trips of two to seven days instead of using this Long Term Parking Lot. For a three-day international run from T2, many say that two Ola rides plus a short wait at arrivals beats guessing the final parking bill.

Tip: If your trip is more than 24 hours, price out two Ola or Uber rides from your neighborhood against an estimated daily parking total, and take a screenshot of your app fare before you decide to leave your car in the Long Term Parking Lot.
