Gate-side basics in Terminal 1

Just past security in Terminal 1, Travel Essentials Store covers the basics you forgot at home. Think phone chargers, universal adapters, SIM cards, neck pillows, earplugs, and a small wall of toiletries. Prices sit a bit above city shops but still in normal airport range; expect to pay around 20–30% more than downtown Aleppo for common items.

The store sits in the main departures hall of Terminal 1, between the seating area and the smaller café, so you can grab a power bank and still keep an eye on the screens. Hours generally track the international departures bank, with shutters up ahead of the first flights and closing after the last evening departures, roughly covering early morning to late night.

Stock leans heavily on travel-sized items: 50–100 ml toothpaste and shampoo, small deodorants, disposable razors, and basic over-the-counter painkillers. You also see carry-on organisers, document wallets, and simple padlocks for checked bags. If you forgot a charging cable or plug adapter, this is usually the only spot in Terminal 1 to fix it without asking around at the check-in desks.

Choice on snacks and drinks here is minimal compared with the café next door, but you do find a few chocolate bars and small water bottles, useful if you want everything on one receipt. Most staff take both Syrian pounds and major foreign currencies; double-check prices on the shelf and receipt before you head to your gate.
