Souvenirs

1

Right after security in Terminal 1, this Souvenir Shop is one of the few places at Aleppo International Airport (ALP) where you can grab a last-minute gift. It sits in the main departures area of Terminal 1, so you pass it on the way to the gates rather than needing a detour. Signage is basic, so look for the simple “Souvenir Shop” sign in English and Arabic near the central seating zone.

Inside, you mostly see small Syrian-themed items: fridge magnets, keychains, basic printed T‑shirts, and a few regional motifs on mugs and plates. Stock is limited compared with big-city hubs, but prices are generally lower than you’d pay in Western European airports. Expect small trinkets in the 3–10 USD range equivalent, and larger decorative items climbing higher from there. Cards may not always run smoothly, so having some Syrian pounds on hand helps.

There’s no clear published schedule, but the Souvenir Shop usually opens around the first departures of the day and tends to stay open until the last evening flights in Terminal 1. If you have a morning departure before 07:00, don’t count on it being fully up and running. Staff can switch off lights early once the final flight on the boards closes, so shop before your gate shows “boarding.”

Tip: walk through once as soon as you clear security in Terminal 1, pick your items, then head straight to your gate so you’re not squeezed for time if boarding starts earlier than printed on the pass.
