Accessible Parking

Accessible

Accessible spaces sit in every ALB lot, not just premium.

Accessible Parking at Albany International Airport (ALB) means marked disabled spaces in every official lot and on every garage level, not a single separate area. If you have a valid disabled plate or placard, you can choose the pricing tier that fits your stay length instead of being pushed into the highest short-term rate right next to the terminal.

The key fact: designated handicapped-accessible spaces are available in each parking lot, on every garage floor, and in the long-term lot, per the airport’s own parking info. That includes the garage immediately adjacent to the terminal, the surface lots, and the long-term option farther out, all marked for qualifying vehicles.

Next to the terminal, the closest accessible spaces live in the parking garage directly across from the main doors. You park on any level that has an accessible spot open, display your plate or placard clearly, then walk or roll across the covered path into the terminal. You still pay that specific garage’s posted rate by hour or day at the pay stations or exit gate.

In the long-term lot, you still get dedicated accessible bays, just at the lower daily rate that lot posts. That’s useful for multi-day trips out of ALB, when the garage can add up fast. The marked spaces sit near the shuttle pickup zones or walkway points, depending on the section of the lot you choose.

Practical tip: at peak times, the closest garage spaces fill first, so arrive at least 30 minutes earlier than usual to give yourself time to find an accessible bay on another garage level or in the long-term lot if the front rows are taken.
