NAT terminal only gives you a few real sit-down options, and La Vita is one of them.
La Vita sits airside in the NAT terminal at Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport, past security and after passport control for non-Schengen flights. It’s a standard café-bar setup: counter service, some bar stools, and small tables you can usually grab outside the worst rush hours on summer mid-morning departures. You won’t get table service like in a landside restaurant in Alicante city, but it’s a calmer stop than grabbing something straight from the nearest vending machine.
Food is classic Spanish-airport café fare: sandwiches, pastries, and simple hot dishes. Expect filled baguettes around €6–€8, croissants and sweet pastries in the €2–€3 range, plus coffee-based drinks that hover around €2 for an espresso and €2.50–€3 for cappuccino or café con leche. Quality tracks with typical Spanish chain cafeterias: fine for a pre-flight snack, not a destination meal. It beats boarding hungry for a Ryanair or easyJet hop where you’d pay more for a smaller boxed sandwich.
Drinks run from soft drinks to beer and basic wine, with bottled water usually just over €2. Draft beer is common in these NAT cafés, so if you want a quick caña before your 2–3 hour sector to the UK or northern Europe, this is an easy stop. Prices are airport-level but not outrageous for Spain; you’ll pay less here than for in-flight food plus a drink on most low-cost carriers.
Service pace depends heavily on the morning wave of departures between roughly 7:00 and 10:00. Lines at the counter can stack up 10–15 deep, and hot items slow things further. Build at least a 20-minute buffer if you want a sandwich made and time to eat it before boarding starts. Tip: order and pay in one go, grab a drink from the fridge yourself if allowed, and hover near the counter so you don’t miss your name being called.
