Gate-side calories in NAT: Burger King keeps it basic
This Burger King sits in Alicante’s NAT terminal airside, so you clear security first and then see the familiar logo near the central departures area before the gates split. It’s one of the few global fast-food brands in the building, so expect a line at typical peak times: early Schengen departures around 06:00–08:30 and UK flights late afternoon.
Menu is standard BK: Whopper, Chicken Royale, and Chicken Nuggets, plus kids’ meals with toys. Combo meals usually land around €9–€13 depending on size and extras, with single burgers a few euros cheaper. You’ll also find basic vegetarian options like a plant-based burger, and typical sides such as onion rings and fries in multiple sizes.
Drinks run the usual soda range, bottled water around €2–€3, and basic coffee that’s fine if you just need caffeine before a 07:00 departure. Expect airport pricing: a Whopper menu that costs less than €10 in town might hit closer to €12 here. Portions match regular Spanish Burger King stores, so you won’t get a “mini” airport version of the meal.
Seating is shared with the general food court in NAT, with tables close enough that you can keep an eye on gate screens without leaving your tray. Turnover is quick, but around lunch (12:00–14:00) you may have to hover for a free chair for five minutes. If it’s slammed, you can usually still get takeaway bags and eat at a quieter seating zone closer to your gate.
Payment is easy: cards are standard, and contactless works for most international Visa and Mastercard, including cards issued in the UK and US. Plan about 10–15 minutes from joining the queue to getting your tray during normal traffic, and closer to 20 minutes at the busier morning wave before northern Europe departures.
Tip: If your boarding pass shows a non-Schengen gate in NAT, order here first and then walk; gate piers can take 5–10 minutes to reach, and options thin out once you’re at the far ends.
