NAT terminal has the Enrique Tomás Experience for quick ham fixes

In Alicante’s NAT terminal, Enrique Tomás Experience focuses almost entirely on Spanish jamón, from basic bocadillos to sliced plates you can eat at the counter or take to the gate. Expect airport pricing but not absurd: a ham sandwich typically runs in the €6–€9 range, with cone-style jamón snacks a bit less.

The shop sits airside in NAT, so you need to be past security to reach it before your Schengen or non-Schengen flight. Opening hours usually track peak departures, roughly early morning to late evening, matching the first and last waves of ALC flights. If your boarding pass says you’re out of NAT, you’re in the right terminal.

Menu focus is cured pork: jamón ibérico, serrano, and mixed boards, plus pre-made sandwiches assembled on simple baguette-style bread. Cold drinks, coffee, and a short list of extras like chips or olives round things out. Portions skew snack-sized rather than full meal, so plan on one sandwich per person or share a plate of jamón and then grab something sweet elsewhere in NAT.

Order the sliced jamón plates if you care about meat quality; that’s where Enrique Tomás usually justifies the price. Sandwiches are faster and easier to walk with, but bread can be hit-or-miss depending on how long it’s been out. If you’re tight on time before a Vueling or Ryanair departure from NAT, grab one of the pre-packed cones of ham and go.

There’s limited counter seating, so during mid-morning departures around 09:00–11:00 you may be standing. Card payments are accepted and contactless typically works without fuss. Tip: check the chilled case first; you can often spot freshly made sandwiches by the time labels and grab those instead of the ones sitting on the top of the counter.
