Staff parking sits on the airport side used by employees
The Staff Parking Area at Almaty International Airport (ALA) is an employee-only lot located on the airport campus, separate from the main public parking in front of Terminal 1 (T1) and Terminal 2 (T2). This area is controlled access and not sold to the general public as a normal passenger product.
This is a long-term staff facility rather than a short-stay lot, so you won’t find a posted daily rate on the public boards or airport website. Spaces here are typically allocated via staff permits tied to contracts with airport operators, airlines, or service companies based at ALA rather than pay-on-entry tickets.
The staff lot connects to working areas around T1 and T2 via internal roads used by airport vehicles and employees. It is not designed for easy pedestrian access from the public terminal forecourt, and you generally can’t walk in from the main passenger drop-off zone and buy parking on the spot.
Security at the Staff Parking Area usually runs off controlled barriers and permit checks, similar to other employee facilities at ALA. Expect card access, license plate checks, or staff ID checks at the gate rather than an open boom accepting cash or card from any driver on entry.
If you are flying from T1 or T2 as a regular passenger, plan on using the signed public parking or official short- and long-term car parks shown on the main ALA terminal maps, and leave the Staff Parking Area for airport employees who already have permits.
