Gate-side gadgets in T1 when you forgot your charger

In Lengpui Airport’s T1, Electronics Store sits past security in the main departures hall, handy if you realise your phone is at 5% and your cable is still at home. Expect a small, basic setup rather than a full big-city tech shop, but it covers the usual travel emergencies. Prices run higher than city shops, so think “airport markup” on most items.

The focus here is practical electronics for hand luggage: phone charging cables, power banks, basic headphones, and a few plug adapters suited to Indian outlets. Stock rotates, so don’t count on very specific brands or high-end gear. Figure on paying a bit extra for the convenience of grabbing a 10,000 mAh power bank or a quick replacement USB-C cable right before a regional flight.

Staff typically keep the shop aligned to daytime T1 departures, so it’s most reliably open from around the first flights in the morning until the last evening departures, roughly 07:00–18:00. If you have an early morning or late evening flight from Lengpui, buy your cables or adapters in Aizawl beforehand rather than banking on this store being open.

There aren’t clear online reports about faulty items, but treat electronics here like any small airport purchase: check packaging, try the cable on your own phone if they’ll plug it in, and keep the paper receipt. One last tip: if you need more than one item, ask once about a small discount; at many Indian regional airports, a simple “any offer on two cables?” works better than you’d expect.
