Accessible Parking

Two accessible parking spots sit directly next to the Main terminal door

Accessible Parking at Lee C Fine Memorial Airport puts you right by the Main terminal entrance, so you’re only a short roll or walk from the check-in area. The lot is small, surface-level, and easy to spot as you pull into the airport access road. If you’re dropping off someone with mobility needs, you can pull up to the curb and then move the car into one of these marked accessible spaces within seconds.

The accessible spaces sit in the same lot used for general public parking, but they’re closest to the Main terminal sidewalk. Signage is basic but clear, and pavement markings help you confirm you’re in the correct designated ADA spot. Because the airport is compact and traffic is light compared with bigger fields, you’re unlikely to compete with large crowds for these spaces, though on busy lake weekends it still pays to arrive a few minutes earlier.

There’s no shuttle system at AIZ, so being parked right next to the terminal matters if stairs, distance, or heat are an issue. The walk from the farthest part of the public lot to the door is only a few dozen yards, but the accessible spots cut that down to just a few steps from vehicle to curb. If you’re coordinating with a pilot or charter, you can stay in the car until you see their aircraft on the small ramp in front of the Main terminal.

Tip: If you need extra time for loading wheelchairs or walkers next to the Main terminal, pull to the curb first, set up at the sidewalk, then circle back into one of the accessible spaces right by the entrance.
