Toyzz Shop

Toy prices here run higher than downtown Izmir shops

Toyzz Shop sits airside in Adnan Menderes Airport, with branches in both the Domestic and International terminals, so you’ll pass one on most departures. Think standard Turkish chain toy store: branded plush, action figures, Lego-style sets, and kids’ stationery stacked floor to ceiling. Stock skews toward big global names plus Turkish cartoons, not collectible hobby gear.

You’ll see a lot of mid-range items in the 250–800 TRY band, which is noticeably more than city malls in Izmir or Konak, but normal for airport markups. Small keychains, blind bags, and cheap puzzles hover around 150–250 TRY and work better as last‑minute gifts than full-size toys. Packaging is mostly Turkish with some English, and batteries for electronic toys usually come separately at the cash desk.

Toyzz Shop generally opens from the first bank of morning flights around 05:00 until the late departures close to 23:00 in both Domestic and International. That covers most Pegasus, SunExpress, and Turkish Airlines banks. Staff are fine with quick in‑and‑out purchases near boarding; they’ll scan and bag in under two minutes if there isn’t a queue.

Don’t expect deep discounts or clearance corners; this isn’t where you chase bargains. Use it as a backup when a flight delay leaves you with 20–30 extra minutes and you need a toy to keep a child busy in the gate area. Tip: check box size before paying—some of the larger sets are awkward for overhead bins on full 737 and A321 flights out of ADB.
