Gate-side duty free sits right after passport control in ADB International.
ATU Duty Free in the International Terminal runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so you can shop regardless of a 02:30 departure or a 05:45 arrival. It’s directly in the main departures hall after security and passport checks, before you reach most long-haul gates. Prices track standard European duty free levels, with better value on local spirits and Turkish food gifts than on big-name cosmetics.
The shop is a classic duty free layout: liquor on the left as you enter, tobacco and confectionery through the center, and cosmetics plus skincare toward the back. Expect full-size perfume bottles in the €60–€120 band, 1L spirits around €15–€30, and Turkish delight gift boxes starting under €10. They accept major cards, Turkish lira, euros, and often will round small change in your favor if you’re clearing out coins at the till.
Food-wise, you’ll see branded Turkish coffee, vacuum-packed baklava, and mixed-nut tins that travel well on 3–6 hour flights. Alcohol limits for many EU arrivals stay at 1 liter of spirits or 2 liters of wine per adult, so plan before loading up the basket. Cigarettes and heated-tobacco sticks sit in a separate section with clear carton pricing; check your destination’s allowance to avoid customs hassle.
Quick tip: do a fast lap first, then buy on the way to your gate so you’re not hauling 5–8 kg of bottles and sweets while you hunt for seating in the International terminal.
