By gate, Sbarro is usually one of the first options
Sbarro shows up in both the Domestic and International terminals at ADB, so odds are you walk past it on the way to your gate. It’s the same formula you know from malls: pizza slices in a hot case, pasta, salads, and drinks, all paid at the counter before you sit. Everything is post-security, so you don’t have to budget extra time to reach your gate after eating.
Prices sit in the typical airport range: expect a slice plus a soft drink to land around standard European hub pricing, higher than downtown İzmir but not eye-watering by airport standards. Portions run large enough that one slice usually fills a normal appetite, while two slices work for longer hauls, especially on late-night flights out of the International terminal.
Food is fast: most people are in and out in under 20 minutes, even when the International terminal is busy with evening departures. Pizza sits under heat lamps, so speed is the tradeoff with freshness. If you care about texture, ask which pies just came out of the oven, and skip anything that looks like it has been in the case more than 20–30 minutes.
Seats sit right by the concourse, so you hear constant boarding calls for flights across both ADB terminals. That’s handy if your gate is nearby in Domestic or International, less helpful if you’re parked at the far end and still need a 10-minute walk. Power outlets are hit-or-miss, so don’t plan a full working session here; charge your phone at the gate instead.
Tip: If your flight time overlaps a meal rush in the International terminal, order a slice that’s just been cut from a full pizza and eat at the counter, then carry your drink to the gate to save 5–10 minutes.
