The space sits airside in Terminal T1 after security, so you clear checks first and then follow signs to the generic airport lounge area rather than a glossy airline-branded room. It carries the “Business Class Lounge” label for tickets, but on the ground it feels like a shared premium waiting room for the whole airport.

Hours run roughly with flight banks: doors open at 07:00 and close at 22:00, which covers the first departures out of Altenrhein and late evening arrivals. If you have a 06:30 check‑in, don’t count on the lounge for an early coffee; you’ll still be landside then. Late check‑ins around 21:30 can usually duck in for a quick drink before the 22:00 shutdown.

Access is tied to cabin: Business Class and First Class passengers get in on presentation of a same‑day boarding pass at the desk. There’s no mention of walk‑up paid entry, no Priority Pass, and no local card scheme, so an Economy ticket at ACH likely means you’ll wait at the public gate seating in T1 instead of this space.

Expect seating that matches the airport’s scale: a compact room with standard armchairs rather than separate zones, and capacity closer to a large gate area than a major hub lounge. At peak times around a busy Dash 8 or Embraer departure, you may count a few dozen people rather than triple‑digit crowds, but the room can still feel full when two flights off T1 overlap.

Catering at airports this size usually runs to simple snacks and a small self‑serve drinks setup rather than hot buffet spreads; think packaged items, maybe some basic cold plates, plus soft drinks and coffee from a machine. Don’t plan dinner here before a 19:30 departure; eat in town or at home first and treat the lounge as a place for a drink and light bite only.

There’s little public data on power outlets or workspaces, so assume a few shared plugs along the walls rather than a socket at every seat. Charge your laptop and phone in T1 landside before you go through security if you’re boarding a later evening flight after 20:30 and need battery for the whole trip.
