No Greyhound-style coaches pull up to Albuquerque Sunport
Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ) runs on cars, not intercity buses. There’s no dedicated long-distance coach stop at Terminal 1, and the airport’s own facts-and-figures pages only list airlines, gates, and passenger counts, not a single branded coach operator. If you’re used to rolling off a flight straight onto FlixBus or Greyhound, that move doesn’t exist here.
Every year ABQ handles around 5 million passengers, but none of the published ground transport info shows a direct coach bay or numbered stand for intercity services. The terminal curbs are signed for private cars, taxis, rideshare, and local shuttles, not for any named intercity line. That usually means the nearest real coach options sit at downtown Albuquerque or separate park-and-ride lots, several miles northwest of the airfield.
If you absolutely need a long-haul bus, plan on chaining modes: first leg from Terminal 1 by taxi or rideshare, second leg from a bus station in the city.
