Official Off-Site Shuttles

All official parking at Aarhus Airport sits on-site in P1/P2

There is no airport-run off-site shuttle lot at Aarhus Airport (AAR). The airport keeps official parking inside the grounds in P1 and P2 by Terminal T, and does not operate “Official Off-Site Shuttles” at all. If a parking provider 1 mile away offers a shuttle, that service is fully third-party and not tied to AAR’s own system.

Because there’s no daily shuttle service branded by the airport, most transport write-ups for Aarhus talk about public buses instead of park-and-ride. Routes into Aarhus city and the region show up directly in the Rejseplanen app, which locals use after landing to see buses and trains from AAR. That’s where the real planning happens, not through an airport shuttle counter.

Regulars on Denmark subreddits usually either park right at AAR or skip parking altogether and ride public transport from Aarhus or Billund. Off-site parking with shuttle barely appears in English-language reviews, which is a sign it’s niche at best. If you do see “official shuttles” advertised near the airport, treat them as independent operators and check recent reviews and prices closely.

There’s also no time savings from a non-existent official shuttle: you still walk out of baggage claim in Terminal T and either head straight to P1/P2 or to the bus stops. One r/NewToDenmark user specifically calls out downloading Rejseplanen before travel, then entering your final destination after grabbing luggage to see live options from Aarhus Airport.

Tip: Before you commit to any off-site shuttle parking 1 mile from AAR, price out on-site P1/P2 and compare that with a bus ticket planned through Rejseplanen; often the bus plus on-site drop-off beats juggling a third-party shuttle.
