Marta Kowalska

Marta has been a corporate travel manager at a Warsaw-based IT services firm for nine years. Her team of sixty engineers fly across Europe constantly, usually Frankfurt, Munich, Amsterdam, occasionally further afield, and she is the person who tells them what is and isn’t bookable on a given day at a given price.

She writes for airport.flights as a paid freelance contributor, one piece a month focused on Central and Eastern European airports, practical scheduling, and the unromantic mathematics of corporate travel done at scale. Her beat is the schedule, which she argues is more important than the airline.

She lives in Praga-Północ, flies WAW more often than she would like, and contends that the LOT lounge at WAW is underrated in international rankings only because the rankings are written by people who don’t fly LOT.
