YYC’s Pacini sits landside in the main terminal
Pacini at Calgary International Airport is on the pre-security (landside) level, so you need to factor in an extra 10–15 minutes to get back through screening before boarding. It runs on typical airport hours that track with the first and last bank of flights, roughly breakfast through late evening, but it’s not a true 24-hour spot. Rating hovers around 3 out of 5, making it a middle-of-the-pack option if you want a sit-down Italian meal before heading through security.
Price-wise, Pacini lands in the mid-tier bracket, with mains roughly in the CAD $20–$30 range and starters usually just under $15. That puts it above the food court but below a white-tablecloth splurge. It’s one of the few places landside at YYC where you can sit down for pasta or pizza and order a drink from a full bar, so it works when you have at least an hour to spare before your Domestic or International departure.
The menu leans on standard Pacini staples: think personal pizzas, basic pastas, and a few salads and grilled mains. The chain is known locally for its “bread bar,” and you’ll usually see at least one garlic-bread or focaccia option on the menu under $10. Portions tend to be large enough that two lighter eaters can share a pizza and a salad and still stay under $40 before tax and tip.
Service pace at airport Pacini locations often stretches past 30 minutes from order to mains when they’re near capacity, especially around the 06:00–09:00 and 16:00–19:00 departure waves. With that in mind, this isn’t the move on a tight 45-minute check-in window. If your rating threshold is above 4 stars, the 3/5 average here might push you toward quicker grab-and-go options after security.
Tip: Clear security first if your cut-off is under 90 minutes, then only backtrack landside to Pacini if your airline counter and screening lines look quiet enough to handle the round-trip.
