Lift opposite Gate H30 gets you into this Priority Pass room

The Priority Pass Lounge in Xi'an T3 is actually VIP Lounge V38, sitting above the domestic departures concourse near Gate H30. You reach it by taking the lift directly opposite H30 up to the 3rd floor. It’s airside, so you access it after security for T3 domestic flights only, not for T2 or T5 departures.

Official access is capped at a 2-hour stay, and staff do pay attention to boarding passes when traffic spikes around evening Hainan Airlines banks. Published hours track the Hainan schedule and can shift, so late-night flyers around 22:00 sometimes find it closed earlier than online listings suggest. Figure this as a short layover stop, not a half-day office.

Inside VIP Lounge V38, seating is standard armchairs in rows plus a few two-seat sofas, with around 60–70 seats filling a single rectangular room. Power outlets sit along the walls and under a handful of central seats; bring a Type I plug for China. Lighting skews bright-white rather than dim, so it feels more like an upgraded gate area than a quiet retreat.

Food is basic: think Chinese snacks and light bites instead of a full meal. Expect items like fried rice or stir-fried noodles in chafing dishes, a soup pot, pre-packed biscuits, and instant noodles at peak mealtimes around 12:00 and 18:00. Drinks run to canned soft drinks, bottled water, and a simple tea and instant coffee station; alcohol coverage is inconsistent, and you shouldn’t count on wine or spirits being stocked.

Two perks stand out: complimentary massage chairs and on-site luggage storage. Massage chairs usually sit in a small cluster toward the back of the room and are free to use, which is rare at this tier of lounge in China. A staffed storage area near the entrance lets you park a suitcase or backpack so you’re not defending your seat with bags while you grab food.

Most guests enter via Priority Pass, but some bank cards and premium Hainan Airlines tickets are also accepted; the desk scans your card and boarding pass on arrival. If you land in XIY and connect onward in T3, you can use the lounge between domestic flights as long as your next flight departs from a T3 H-gate like H30 or nearby.

Tip: Aim to arrive here 70–90 minutes before departure, take the lift at H30 straight up, grab a quick bite and 15 minutes in a massage chair, then head back down when your gate posts “boarding.”
