Gate-side duty free in T1 with standard EU stock
Baltona Duty Free sits airside in Terminal T1 at Wrocław, just past security and before the main cluster of gates. You walk straight through the shop on the way to departures, so it’s easy to duck in for a quick look without adding extra walking time.
Opening hours generally track flight banks, with the store open for early-morning departures and staying open into the late evening when Ryanair and Wizz flights leave T1. If you have a 30–40 minute wait at the gate, you can comfortably loop through and be back in your seat without clock-watching.
Stock is the usual duty free mix: liquor, perfume, cosmetics, chocolates, tobacco, and a smaller corner of Polish sweets and vodkas. Expect standard EU duty free pricing on spirits and perfume; you might see occasional promos on 1-litre bottles and multi-pack chocolates near the central aisle. Tobacco is behind the counter, so you’ll need to ask staff directly.
Payment is straightforward: cards widely accepted, including contactless, plus cash in PLN, and staff handle both Schengen and non‑Schengen flights from the same T1 shop. If you’re connecting onward outside the EU, check the small printed allowance boards near the tills for limits by destination, as rules differ for the UK and some non‑EU countries.
Tip: If your priority is a quick snack or water before boarding from T1, hit the cafés first and only circle Baltona Duty Free if you still have at least 15 minutes before boarding time on your boarding pass.
