The space splits into two distinct levels: a ground-floor café/bar for grab-and-go, and an upstairs all-day dining room with proper tables and runway views over Wellington’s single runway. Downstairs you’ll see cabinet food like pies and sandwiches plus coffee; upstairs you can sit down for a full meal and order a beer or wine while watching aircraft taxi.

Because it’s before security, Good Day works well if you’re meeting someone off NZ domestic arrivals or killing time before check-in opens. Just remember you’ll still need to allow time for domestic or international screening after you leave, so don’t cut it too close to a 06:30 boarding call if you’re still upstairs at 06:00.

Regulars treat the ground floor as a refuel stop: quick coffee, cabinet pastry, out in under 10 minutes. Upstairs is for a slower sit-down plate and a cold beer, especially when northerly winds line up departures right outside the windows.
