If you land early on a domestic connection, regulars often start in the domestic or regional Air New Zealand lounge and then move across once the international side opens, instead of waiting in the public area with limited seating by the gates.

Access runs through multiple channels: eligible Air New Zealand and Star Alliance premium cabin or status guests, plus Priority Pass and paid day pass holders when space allows. Because there are only 118 seats, staff can and do hold the line during busy Sydney and Singapore waves, so don’t bank on buying your way in at the last minute on a full A320 or 787.
