BeerCode

T1

T1’s BeerCode sits just past security with draught on tap

BeerCode is in Terminal T1 airside, a short walk from the main security checkpoint, so you can sit down with a beer without backtracking to the landside cafés. It’s one of the few branded bar-style options in Verona Villafranca, so if you want something stronger than espresso before a Ryanair, Volotea, or ITA Airways flight, this is the spot you actually see from the central gate area.

The menu leans on beer and casual bar food: think burgers, club sandwiches, fries, and a few salads, priced in the €8–€15 range for mains, with snacks starting around €4–€6. Expect the usual Italian soft drinks and coffee on top of the draught list, so you can pair a panino with either a lager or a cappuccino without leaving T1. Portions at chains like this in Italian airports usually track a bit smaller than US standards, so if you’re hungry before a three-hour flight, order a main plus a side.

Opening hours typically follow the T1 schedule, kicking off around the first departures of the morning and running through the last evening flights, roughly 06:00 to 22:00. That coverage works for most domestic hops to Rome or Naples and the afternoon wave of flights into Germany and the UK. If you land on a late inbound after 22:00, assume BeerCode may already be closed and plan on grabbing a drink on board or in the city instead.

Expect airport pricing, so a draught beer that might be €4.50 in town can climb closer to €6–€7 here, and a simple sandwich can push past €9. The tradeoff: you stay a minute or two from the T1 gate screens and don’t have to gamble on short lines at the smaller kiosks nearer to boarding doors. Use it as a sit-down buffer when you’ve got 45–90 minutes until boarding, then settle the bill and walk straight to your gate.
