Longchamp

Gate-side option in Terminal 1

Directly in Terminal 1 at Vienna Airport, Longchamp sits in the main Schengen area and works as a sit-down stop when you don’t want another pre-packed sandwich from a kiosk. It’s airside, so you clear security first, then find it along the pier serving gates in the mid- to high-1X range. Expect a typical Vienna airport mix: coffee, beer, and full plates rather than just snacks.

Opening hours generally track daytime bank: think early-morning departures through early evening, roughly 6:00 to 21:00, though late-night flights may find the kitchen slowing down earlier. Prices sit in the usual airport bracket: a basic coffee runs around €3–€4, soft drinks hit €4+, and mains jump into the low-to-mid €teens. You’re paying for being inside Terminal 1, not for anything destination-restaurant level.

The menu leans European café: expect schnitzel or similar breaded cutlets in the €15–€20 range, simple pasta dishes, salads, and a few bar snacks that work with a 0.5L beer. Dessert usually means standard cakes or strudel-style options at about €5–€6. Portions are reported as solid but not huge, so don’t come in starving 30 minutes before boarding and expect a feast.

Service pace matches typical Vienna Airport sit-down spots: staff cover both drinks and food for several tables, so a full meal can easily run 40–60 minutes from sit-down to bill during busy waves around the 8:00–10:00 or 16:00–19:00 banks. That’s fine on a 2+ hour layover, less great on a tight 45-minute turn. You’ll usually get your first drink within 10 minutes, but mains can lag when multiple flights board off the same pier.

Tip: if your gate in Terminal 1 shows boarding within 35 minutes, use Longchamp for a quick coffee or beer only and grab anything more substantial from a takeaway spot closer to your exact gate number.
