Duty Free Shopping

T1

Gate-side in T1, Duty Free Shopping is the main stop

Just past security in Terminal T1, Duty Free Shopping sits on the standard international path toward the gates, so you almost walk through it by default. It runs in sync with international departures, typically opening a few hours before the first outbound flights and staying open until the last evening departures. If you want tax-free booze or perfume without hunting the concourse, this is your primary option at Viracopos.

Liquor prices track the usual Brazil duty-free range, with 1L bottles of mainstream whisky brands often landing cheaper than downtown Campinas shops once you factor in airport taxes. Shelves also carry cigarettes, chocolates, and fragrance from global labels, though stock depth in niche brands is thinner than GRU or GIG. If you care about packaging, scan the promo ends for 2-for-1 bundles and gift tins; they rotate them by airline bank times.

Cosmetics and skincare sit in the central aisles, with international makeup brands plus a few Brazilian labels you won’t always see outside São Paulo. Electronics are limited to travel basics: power adapters, basic headphones, and power banks, usually at a clear airport markup compared to city prices. If you need a last-minute charging brick before a 10+ hour overnight out of VCP, this is still the fastest fix.

Tip: do a slow pass through the liquor and perfume first, note any multi-buy deals, then loop back at the end of your T1 walk; lines peak in the 40 minutes before major international departures start boarding.
