80 TND (about $29) gets you into Lounge 1 if you’re paying cash, and that sets expectations: this is backup space in Terminal 1, not a destination stop.

The lounge sits airside in T1, past passport control and security, on the left of the departures hall right next to the duty free shop. It runs 24/7, which matters on late-night departures to Europe and early-morning regional flights when the main terminal seating feels chaotic.

Access works through airline invitations, Priority Pass, or the day pass at roughly 80 TND / $29 for three hours. If your ticket or status already covers it, walking in makes sense; paying out of pocket only really adds up if you’re facing a two‑ to three‑hour wait and would otherwise buy food and a couple of drinks landside or in the terminal.

Food sits in the “so‑so” band: basic cold snacks, a few hot trays, and sweets that line up with what Live and Let’s Fly called “perfectly fine.” Reviews on FlyerTalk from 2023 still call it mediocre, so don’t come hungry planning a full meal; think light bites before a Tunisair or Air France departure rather than dinner before a red‑eye.

Drinks are the stronger side of the offer: self‑serve soft drinks plus alcoholic options at the bar, which several flyers specifically mention as the main reason they bother swiping a Priority Pass card. Regulars also flag that coffee often comes from the staffed bar, so asking the bartender for an espresso usually works better than hunting endlessly for a machine.

Seating is mixed: armchairs and small tables spread across one main room, with enough plugs to keep a laptop and phone alive for a 2‑hour wait. Crowding comes up often on FlyerTalk, especially during evening bank departures around 18:00–22:00, so don’t count on a quiet corner if you roll in just before those peak waves.

Downside list is clear: no showers at all, and multiple 2022–2024 reports slam the lounge restroom as grimy and even “smelling like a sewer.” If you care about hygiene, hit the main terminal toilets near gate 52 or 54 before heading in and treat the lounge bathroom as last resort only.

Flight‑hardened regulars treat Lounge 1 as a place to sit, charge devices, use Wi‑Fi, and get a glass of wine or beer, nothing more. One practical move: check how busy T1 looks at security; if most seats near your gate are already full and you have 90+ minutes, using Priority Pass here makes sense, otherwise keep your $29 and stay near your boarding gate.
