Cell Phone Lot

Waiting area

Free waiting lot sits just south of the main terminal

The Cell Phone Lot at Tulsa International Airport is a free waiting area set up for drivers who are picking up arriving passengers, so you don’t circle the terminal loop or pay for short-term parking. It’s clearly signed as “Cell Phone Lot” as you approach the airport access road, near the main entrance to the terminal complex.

This lot works for short stays only; you stay with your car and wait until your passenger calls. There’s no posted daily rate because you’re not meant to park and leave the vehicle here overnight or for long-term trips. Think minutes, not hours, and plan to move to the terminal curb as soon as the arriving traveler walks out with bags.

The Cell Phone Lot sits outside the secured terminal area, so there’s no access to terminal restrooms or concessions without driving up to the building. If you expect to wait longer than 20–30 minutes, bring water, snacks, or a coffee from town before you head into the airport road system. There are standard lot lights for nighttime waits, but no dedicated indoor shelter or services.

Signage to the lot appears on the final approach to TUL, so watch for the “Cell Phone Lot” directional signs well before you reach the terminal. The drive from the lot to the arrivals curb usually takes just a few minutes, depending on traffic at the front of the terminal. Time your move when your passenger texts that they’re standing at the curb with bags in hand.

Practical tip: Have your passenger call after they’ve collected luggage from baggage claim; that gives you enough time to leave the Cell Phone Lot and reach the arrivals curb without needing to circle again.
