Footlongs and salads in Terminal 1 before your TSA hop

Subway sits in Taipei Songshan’s Terminal 1, useful if you want something familiar before short domestic or regional flights. You get the standard international Subway setup: made-to-order sandwiches, basic salads, and soft drinks, with bread baked on-site through the day. Pricing runs lower than most sit-down spots in TSA, with 6-inch subs typically in the budget range for a quick airport meal.

The shop follows typical airport hours in Terminal 1, usually opening from early morning to late evening to match the first and last departures on the schedule. That makes it workable if you’re grabbing a sub before a 07:00 flight or landing closer to 21:00 and need a snack. It’s past security in T1, so you need a same-day boarding pass to eat here.

You’ll see the usual Subway menu: footlong and 6-inch options like tuna, ham, and veggie, plus a few local twists depending on Taiwan seasonal promos. Expect add-ons like cookies at the counter and bottled drinks in the cooler, priced a little higher than in-town branches, as you’d expect inside TSA. Customization is the same as in city stores, with your choice of vegetables and sauces lined up on the chilled counter.

Order line can back up to 10–15 minutes during banked departures in Terminal 1, especially around lunch between 11:30 and 13:30, since it’s one of the most recognizable global chains in this part of the airport. Seating usually consists of a limited number of small tables within the unit or shared seating nearby on the concourse, so be ready to take your sandwich to the gate if it’s crowded.

Tip: If your boarding time is inside 25 minutes and your gate is on the far end of Terminal 1, ask staff for takeout packaging and walk your sub down to the gate before unwrapping it.
