JAL Sakura Lounge

Open · Varies by operating contract / null

At Taipei Songshan (TSA), there is no actual JAL-run Sakura Lounge

JAL’s own site for TSA clearly directs premium and elite passengers to partner lounges instead of a branded Sakura Lounge, so you will not find a JAL-signage space airside in Terminal 2’s international departure area. If you are used to the usual Sakura design cues from Tokyo or Hong Kong, adjust expectations here.

For international departures at TSA, JAL sends eligible customers airside to the Airlines VIP Lounge or to the Plaza Premium Lounge, both located after security in the international zone of the terminal used for flights like TSA–HND. Access rules follow your JAL boarding pass and status, not a separate Sakura door.

Hours at TSA are tied to the operating contract and flight schedule rather than a fixed Sakura timetable, so the lounge availability roughly tracks JAL departures on routes such as JL96 and JL98 instead of running a 24-hour model. If you are on a very early or late operation, check the JAL TSA lounge page on the day of departure.

Entrance is airside only, so you need to complete TSA’s outbound security and exit immigration in Terminal 2 before you can follow signs for Airlines VIP Lounge or Plaza Premium Lounge, usually marked near the international gates used by JAL. Domestic Terminal 1 at TSA has separate flows and does not connect airside to these spaces.

Because there is no standalone Sakura Lounge, food and drink quality at TSA depends on which partner lounge is open for your specific JAL flight time, and that can change between the Airlines VIP Lounge and Plaza Premium Lounge. If you care about a proper meal, plan to eat a backup option at the terminal if the partner lounge looks crowded or is running a reduced spread.

Practical tip: check in online for your Tokyo flight, then at the airport ask the JAL check-in counter in Terminal 2 which partner lounge is being used for your departure and until what exact time it stays open that day, so you do not walk to a closed door after clearing security.
