Near T2 check-in counters, Relay is the grab-and-go stop

Relay in Terminal T2 sits airside after security, handy if you’ve cleared immigration early and need last-minute basics before an international flight. It’s the recognizable red newsstand-style shop you’ll see near several T2 boarding gates, with shelves packed tighter than most TRV outlets.

Magazines and paperback novels line one wall, including Indian titles alongside a few English bestsellers, good for a 2–3 hour sector out of Thiruvananthapuram. You’ll also find newspapers like The Hindu and Times of India plus some regional language papers, though late-night departures sometimes hit low stock.

Snacks run from ₹40 chips and biscuits up to ₹200+ chocolate bars and gift packs. Bottled water and soft drinks sit in coolers, usually with 500 ml and 1L options that are cheaper than in many airline buy-on-board menus. Expect airport markups, but not as steep as some standalone souvenir shops in T2.

Relay also carries toiletries and travel bits: toothpaste and brushes, plug adapters, basic chargers, and a few neck pillows, useful if you forgot something before a 5–6 hour connection or redeye. Stationery, pens, and small notebooks are on a dedicated rack, handy if you still fill paper immigration forms or want something for work notes mid-flight.

Cards and cash in INR both generally work here, though change for big notes like ₹2000 can be slow during peak evening departures. Quick tip: if you need reading material or water, stop at Relay right after security in T2, before you get trapped in a long boarding line at a far gate.
