Gate-side duty free in T2 that you basically walk through anyway
Hot Deals sits in the international departures zone of Terminal T2, just after security and immigration, so you pretty much pass it on the way to most gates. It runs in line with the main passenger flow toward boarding gates used by airlines like Air India Express and Emirates, so you can duck in and out without detouring far from your flight.
This is standard duty free: liquor, cigarettes, perfume, chocolates and a few travel gadgets, all under the Hot Deals banner. Prices on major whisky brands and blended Scotch often undercut city shops by a few hundred rupees per bottle, though not every promo beats what you’ll see in Dubai or Doha. Expect the usual 1-litre spirit promos and multi-pack chocolate deals stacked near the entrance.
Selection leans on big global names like Johnnie Walker, Chivas, Jack Daniel’s, Smirnoff, plus fragrance counters from brands you’ll recognise from mall stores in Kochi and Bengaluru. You’ll also find standard carton deals on cigarettes, typically quoted in USD or INR with a clear label at the shelf. Staff usually convert prices at the day’s rate and will remind you of Indian customs limits: 2 litres of alcohol per adult on arrival back into India.
Figure on 5–10 minutes to walk through Hot Deals, try a perfume tester, and grab a 1-litre bottle and a chocolate gift box before a night departure. Stock can thin out after the last outbound waves around 23:00, so if you’re on a late-night flight, don’t wait until final call to shop.
Tip: Check your connection rules: if bags are tagged through and you’re only transiting TRV, this T2 duty free is often your last realistic alcohol and chocolate stop before a regional flight with tighter carry-on liquid checks.
