Kerala Tourism Lounge

T2

T2’s “Kerala Tourism Lounge” behaves more like a tourism office

The Kerala Tourism Lounge sits inside Terminal T2 at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport and shows up in airport maps more as a state tourism touchpoint than as a classic airline lounge. Access is by invitation only, generally linked to Kerala Tourism programs or official delegations, not walk-up payment or generic lounge passes.

This space is within the international Terminal T2 zone, so don’t expect to use it if you’re flying from T1 on domestic routes. There’s no confirmed Priority Pass, DragonPass, or airline status access listed for the Kerala Tourism Lounge, which already sets it apart from the more usual pay-in lounges you see in other Indian airports.

Hard details are thin: no public menu, no fixed list of amenities, and no posted opening hours for the Kerala Tourism Lounge on official TRV pages. That usually means simple seating, air-conditioning, and light refreshments at best, more like an upgraded waiting room for hosted guests than a full buffet-and-shower setup.

Because credible mileage blogs and FlyerTalk threads on TRV (including a 2016 international/domestic transfer thread) never mention using the Kerala Tourism Lounge, frequent flyers treat it as an unknown quantity. If you’re used to the typical Plaza Premium style playbook, assume this is more bureaucratic than business-travel oriented until someone in your party actually receives an invite card or email.

Don’t bank on the Kerala Tourism Lounge if you’re building a long layover in T2: there’s no evidence of guaranteed access for premium cabin tickets, and even business-class passengers on Gulf carriers out of TRV usually talk about airline-arranged alternatives or general seating rather than this space. Think of it as a nice bonus if an official hands you an invitation, not a core part of your trip planning.

Practical tip: if your itinerary mentions the Kerala Tourism Lounge or you’re part of a Kerala Tourism program, ask your handler or airline check-in staff at T2 specifically where the lounge is located past security and what hours it runs that day; if they can’t give a clear answer, assume you’ll be waiting in the regular T2 departure hall instead.
