At 04:15 in T1’s check-in hall, this is your espresso stop
Autogrill Time Café sits landside in Turin’s main terminal (T1), right in the public check-in area, and opens from 04:00 to 21:00. That timing matters if you’re on a 06:20 departure and want a standing-bar espresso and pastry before security. It feels like a classic Italian highway Autogrill bar transplanted to the airport: counter service, quick turnover, cash and cards both fine.
Food is straightforward: think croissants and other pastries in the €1.50–€3.00 range, panini and simple sandwiches around €4–€7, plus packets of snacks you can take to the gate. Coffee runs roughly €1.20–€1.50 for an espresso at the bar and a bit more if you sit. Quality tracks with regular Autogrill stops on the A4 motorway; the espresso tastes fine at 05:00, and the pastries are decent if you grab them early in the day.
Drinks go beyond coffee: soft drinks, bottled water, juices, and a short list of alcoholic options, usually including beer and basic wine by the glass, mostly between €3 and €6. It’s all post-check‑in but pre‑security, so it works if you’re dropping someone off or waiting on an airport bus that leaves from the front of T1. Tables are functional, not lounge-like, and power outlets are limited, so don’t plan to sit here with a laptop for three hours.
Service runs at airport pace: they handle early-morning lines from multiple 06:00–07:00 departures fairly quickly, but by 08:00 every free chair in view of the main departures board tends to be taken. No major complaints show up in reviews, but this is still an Autogrill, not a specialty coffee bar, so expectations should match the €1.50 price tag.
Tip: pay and drink your espresso standing at the counter; it’s faster, usually cheaper than table service, and keeps you close to the main T1 security entry when your gate finally posts.
