P.F. Chang's To Go

Gate-side Chinese at TPA’s Main Terminal

P.F. Chang's To Go sits in the Main Terminal at Tampa International Airport, on the landside before you head to the shuttles for Airsides A–F. That landside location means anyone can eat here, even if they’re not flying, and you don’t need to clear TSA first. Build a 25–30 minute buffer if you want hot food before you board the train to your gate.

This is the fast-service “To Go” format of P.F. Chang’s, so expect a condensed menu and counter ordering instead of full table service. Portions run smaller than the full restaurant version, and prices track with airport norms rather than mall locations, so assume a few dollars more per dish than you’d pay in town. If your flight is out of an early bank, check airport restaurant hours; many Main Terminal spots open around 5:00–6:00 a.m., but dinner service may wind down by 9:00–10:00 p.m.

Menu focus skews to recognizable P.F. Chang’s staples: think rice and noodle bowls, chicken and beef stir-fries, and possibly lettuce wraps adapted for to-go packaging. Combo-style meals usually bundle a protein, rice, and veggies, which can be easier to eat at the gate. Expect fountain drinks or bottled beverages, not a full bar; if you want a cocktail, hit one of the Main Terminal bars instead and bring your food there only if posted signs allow it.

Because this spot sits before security, lines spike around the 7:00–9:00 a.m. and 4:00–6:00 p.m. departure pushes when multiple Airsides are boarding. Food here is packaged in takeout containers by default, so it travels fine on the shuttle to Airside C or F, and you can eat at your gate if seating in the Main Terminal food court fills up. Expect to stand 10–15 minutes in line during peaks, plus another 5–10 minutes for hot dishes.

Practical tip: if your boarding pass shows a tight connection of under 45 minutes between Airsides, skip landside stops and eat post-security; save P.F. Chang’s To Go for times when you reach the Main Terminal at least an hour before your next flight.
