ESPN on every wall and taps lined up at Ducky's

Right in the Main Terminal after security, Ducky's runs like a classic sports bar with American pub food and plenty of TVs locked on NFL, NBA, and college games. It sits in the hub area before you split off to the Airsides, so you can eat here even if your flight leaves from A, C, E, or F. Figure mid-range pricing: mains mostly in the $12–$18 range, with starters cheaper and big draft beers running a few bucks more than downtown Tampa.

Menu is standard bar fare: burgers, wings, flatbreads, big salads, and sandwiches, all under the American comfort umbrella. Portions come out large enough that one $15–$18 entrée usually beats any snack box you’d grab at the gate. They pour domestic drafts alongside a few Florida names, plus basic cocktails and hard seltzers. Ask for timing if you’re cutting it close; wings or burgers can hit 20–25 minutes on a busy Sunday with three games on.

Sports-bar noise level stays high during prime-time games, especially Thursday and Monday nights after 6 p.m. Local baseball and hockey also pull crowds at Ducky's, and you’ll see plenty of jerseys packed into the bar area. There are some high-tops near the edge with better sightlines to departure boards, so you can keep an eye on a 7:45 p.m. boarding time without staring at your phone. Wi‑Fi from the Main Terminal reaches fine here for quick work or streaming.

Best move: grab a bar seat if you’re solo and want faster service on a 45–60 minute layover. If your flight departs from Airside F or C, budget at least 10–12 minutes to ride the people mover out after you pay. Tip: close your tab when your food hits the table, not after, so you can bolt for a sudden gate change without waiting for the check.
