Bus

Bus €1.50-2.00

€1.50 bus that hits Ülemiste and Lasnamäe, not Old Town

Bus 65 runs from Lennart Meri Tallinn Airport T1 out to the Ülemiste and Lasnamäe industrial and office zones, so it suits commuters or business stays more than tourists heading for the Old Town. A single public transport ticket on this line costs around €1.50–2.00, the same as any standard Tallinn city bus ride.

The stop sits just outside the T1 terminal building, beside the other city buses serving the airport, so you’re on the curb within about 2–3 minutes of leaving arrivals. You pay the same fare on Bus 65 as on lines 2 or 4, roughly €1.50 with a QR ticket bought online or around €2.00 if you’re paying on board with contactless.

Timing and frequency vary by day and hour, and the ride out through Ülemiste and into Lasnamäe generally sits in the same ballpark as other local buses from the airport, often around the 15–30 minute mark depending on which stop you’re using. It’s part of the standard Tallinn public transport network, so your Bus 65 ticket is valid for transfers to trams and other buses inside the usual 60-minute window.

Because it runs through business districts like Ülemiste City and parts of Lasnamäe rather than straight into the tourist core, Bus 65 lines up better with office parks and warehouses than with hotels near Raekoja plats. You still pay the standard city tariff of €1.50–2.00, so it’s a cheap way to reach workplaces a few kilometres east of the airport instead of taking a taxi that might run to €10–15.

If you plan to ride more than a couple of times in a day, check Tallinn’s 1-day or longer e-ticket options, which can undercut several single fares on Bus 65 plus a tram or two. The simple move: before you land, screenshot the current Bus 65 timetable and map, then in arrivals compare it against lines 2 and 4 so you’re not standing at the wrong stop when your €1.50 ride rolls off without you.
